I wasn't bitten by a cat but by my own dog when we were playing around. I didn't think much about it until a few days later when the area began swelling and was extremely sensitive to the touch. Went to the ER, they put me on antibiotics right away and tested the bacteria. Can't remember the name of it but I know it was one that was common for dogs. Doctors said I barely missed having to have surgery and now have a scar on my hand that's the size of a half dollar from the infected area.

Should I be scared

Ive had cats all my life. Been scratched and biten. Im fine lol only time i ever got medication was when i had my lip biten. Also wasnt the first time. Was just tired of hearing everyone telling me to go to the doctors at work so i did. Wasnt needed but even the doctor said take it just in case. That also being said. I worked with a guy who got scratched by his house cat. Got super infected. Always clean your cuts and keep and eye on em is all i can say.

Cat dad here…I definitely wouldn’t come for anyone giving facts about how to stay healthy around cats. My mom has Complex B Cell Leukemia which means her autoimmune system is suppressed. She was hospitalized for a cat bite; her’s not mine btw. I would love a full video about the myths and the truths surrounding human health around cats. Maybe you could collab with a vet? That would be awesome!!!

I had a friend who was middle-aged and generally avoided doctors, until one day her cat bit her and the wound became infected. When she finally sought treatment for the infected cat bite, she found out she had colon cancer. It's very possible she would still be with us today if she'd had regular screenings or talked to someone when she first noticed a problem. As it was, she got treatment and went into remission for a little while. So in a way, the cat bite saved her life; at least for a couple of years.

Fun Fact about me: Sometimes when I need a pick me up, I will listen to some video game music. Songs from the base of Cult of the Lamb have a weird calming effect on me, with Start a Cult, Praise the Lamb, Nudism and Baby Follower being the best ones! New medical doctors are scammers, they basically work for insurance companies and give less than a rat's ass about patients lives. I have seen disgusting things that I can't even think of that has come out of my doctor friends mouths about patients wellbeing

I brought my daughter to the acute care facility to see why she was sick and I was told I was I would be charged for not reducing a temperature of 100.6. My kids rarely get sick and when they do, I allow the fever to do it’s job and they are typically fine the next day
